Rachel Niedzwiecki is a long time member of our Temple community. Rachel has spent the past 15 years in our Hebrew Education system, first as a teacher and as Hebrew School Principal for the last 8 years.
With Israeli parents and a background in Orthodox tradition, Rachel has been able to blend a curriculum that is educational, traditional and spiritual while instilling a love of Judaism in our students.
Her passion for Jewish Education comes from the overlap between her personal values and the traits which Judaism considers important. Even though her children are Bat Mitzvah, Rachel’s continued dedication demonstrates her love of Jewish learning through her actions in the classroom and involvement at B’nai Shalom.
The core mission of Congregation B’nai Shalom’s Religious School is to foster Jewish growth through learning. We envision Jewish learning as a lifelong process that begins in the Religious School and is enhanced by learning in the home and community. We strive to instill in our students a love of Judaism and Torah that will motivate continued Jewish growth throughout their lives. Our dedicated teaching staff demonstrates their love of Jewish learning through their actions in the classroom and involvement at Congregation B’nai Shalom.
Rachel and her staff have developed a curriculum designed to provide students with a strong grounding in Jewish values, liturgy, culture, theology, and history. Our philosophy is to use interactive, engaging teaching practices and to relate material to students through discussions and thought-provoking activities. All school activities are grounded in a sense of community, connectedness, and a joy of learning.
